Sherina McKinley

BOSTON PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Sherina (She/Her) is an educator, coach, and encourager in Boston, MA. Her work is fueled by her desire to see your wildest dream come true especially for those that society has counted out. She wants to see you win! Over the last decade, Sherina has supported and loved on black & brown entrepreneurs big and small throughout the city of Boston. No matter where she worked her office was always the sanctuary where entrepreneurs can unload the stresses of life, get recharged, and shift their focus.

With Sherina’s guidance these entrepreneurs are creating long-lasting businesses, creating local jobs, accessing capital and reviving their communities. For 5 years, she worked specifically with food businesses in Boston. She serves on the loan committees of a few national social impact lending organizations. She is also the Director of Uptima Entrepreneur Cooperative in Boston ensuring that entrepreneurs in her community are getting the quality education they deserve. She’s a success coach for a program specifically for Black women entrepreneurs at Babson College. She was drawn to RUNWAY because they also believe in you and believe that not every business will succeed but they all deserve an equal opportunity to get started.

When Sherina isn’t loving up on your dreams she is homeschooling her four-year-old son, encouraging her fourteen-year-old daughter, and equipping her seventeen-year-old son. She also loves to explore different cultures through food. She loves music and you can find her challenging her husband in a DJ playlist battle. Don’t you dare play Gap Band “Yearning for Your Love” or “Candy” by Cameo in her presents cause it's going to be a party.
